About
every SPACE tells a story,
every SPACE tells a story,
we exist to help you write yours.
The Studio
a studio built on listening, understanding & bringing out your dream space.
SPACE is a residential building design studio working across South Australia. Founded in 2020 by building designer Scott Bollmeyer, who holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from the University of South Australia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management, the studio has built a reputation among homeowners, developers and builders who care about the details.
Every project starts with one on one conversation, listening to your dreams, concerns & journey so far. To you, to the site, and to the small things that shape how a home is lived in. The brief is shaped through conversation, the design is resolved through iteration, and the documentation is written for the people who’ll build it. The result is a design that earns its place because it works for the way you live in it.
That’s the whole idea. A space designed not just for the moment, but for the way life unfolds in it.
What We Stand For
commitments that shape every project we take on.
Grounded
Fifteen years inside the residential building industry sit behind every project. We’ve seen what works once construction starts, and we design accordingly. Feasibility, certification, documentation gaps, builder expectations. The things that derail other projects are the things we anticipate from the first sketch.
Functionally beautiful
Function is the foundation. Aesthetics are the by-products. Every design starts with how you move through a space, where the light lands, and how a room earns its place in the rhythm of a day. Beauty is what happens once function is resolved.
A trusted guide
We see every project as a partnership. By sharing knowledge, explaining the process and providing honest guidance, we help clients make confident decisions that lead to better homes and better outcomes.
